St Oswald’s Hospice Ambassadors Graeme Jones (Newcastle United Assistant Head Coach) and Kieran Tripper (Newcastle United defender) have teamed up to present a very special event in support of the hospice and its patients and families.
‘The Road to Wembley – Quality Time with Jones & Trippier’ will be an evening of celebration, chronicling the club’s journey to a historic Carabao Cup win last season. St Oswald’s Hospice is a charity close to Graeme and his family's hearts as his mother Rita received end of life care on our Adult Inpatient Unit over thirty years ago when Graeme was just 20 years old.

"My wife Debbie and I never forgot the care that my mam received at St Oswald’s Hospice. The staff looked after us all at what was in incredibly difficult time and I had always planned to work with the hospice in some way, to show my support and help them to raise funds.
"I am proud and delighted to be working with the St Oswald’s Hospice team to support their fundraising events and raise awareness of their vital work in our North East community. Kieran and I are looking forward to meeting hospice and Newcastle United supporters and to giving them an insight into the Club’s Carabao Cup journey and victory. It’s a perfect way for me to show my support, so if you are not able to join us on the night, I would be so grateful for any donation you could make to this wonderful charity. Thank you."

“Since becoming an Official Ambassador for St Oswald’s Hospice, I’ve visited the Children and Young Adults Service several times and met with some of the children and young people who have short breaks there. It’s been a real pleasure. I’ve had some fun conversations with the young people about football and how the team are doing, including reviewing my performance in previous games too!
“Every family I have met have said how wonderful, helpful and supportive the Hospice is for them. I’m keen to help raise awareness of the Hospice as well as with their fundraising efforts and that’s one of the reasons for teaming up with Graeme to hold this event.”
All donations made through this fundraising page will support the work of St Oswald’s Hospice’s patient and families. Thank you.
